1. New Thundercats Toys! 2012/07/19

So the new Thundercats cartoon aired on Cartoon Network, and seems to be off now. The new toys are pretty cool though, and have been in the bargain bins at Wal-Mart and Target. Perfect time to get some new figures! They’re made by Bandai, and look pretty cool!

  2. Marvel Universe Mr.Sinister vs. Gambit 2012/07/18

This is the Marvel Universe Mr. Sinister vs. Gambit Comic Pack. Mr. Sinister is a really strange repaint of the Colossus figure (which was EXCELLENT), and Gambit is just a standard figure…with a scarf. The strangest thing about this pack isn’t the figures, though, it’s the included comic. The cover is from X-MEN #1, but the inside is not! I don’t even know which issue is on the inside, but it doesn’t match the cover at all.

    Front of the box!

    Back of the box!

Front of the comic! X-MEN #1! Yay!

What is THIS??! This isn't X-MEN #1 at all!

    Shakespeare Mr. Sinister.

    Opera singer Mr. Sinister?

Pretty interesting cape on the figure, but he can't stand with it on.

    The gambit sculpt is decent!

No idea about that scarf, though!

Mr. Sinister is going to get you Gambit!

    Muwhahaa!

    Meh.

  3. Thor Frost Giant 2012/07/17

This is a cool Frost Giant action figure we picked up. It’s from the Thor movie, so it’s not styled quite the same as the comic based figures, but is still pretty cool. Nice sculpt, and the joints are the same as the Marvel Universe line of figures!

    Front of the box!

    Back of the box!

    Opening the box!

    Awesome sculpt on the face!

    Close up!

    I'm waiting for you, Thor!

    Come and meet your doom!

    Weakling with your puny hammer!

    Oof!

    Ack!

Ha! Taste the ice, son of Odin!

    HAHAHAHAA!

  4. Backlog 2012/07/16

Ok, I think we might have a little of a backlog now with the figures…we need to get on that!

    That's a lot of figures!

    Galactus is not impressed.

  5. Marvel Universe Iron Patriot! 2012/07/01

This is the awesome Marvel Universe Iron Patriot action figure. We really like the paint job on this one. It’s really shiny and metallic looking, so you get the feeling that they material really is metal. The only down side to this figure is that it is a repaint of the Extremis Iron Man action figure, so the shoulder pads, feet, hands, etc, are all the same mold. Regardless, we think the paint job more than makes up for using the same base. Behold, the IRON PATRIOT!

All of the contents of the package. Lots of neat stuff in the secret file, as well!

    Thrusters engaged!

    The Superhuman Registration Act

    What, the?!

    Not so fast, Norman Osborn!

Do you really think you can defeat me, Tony?

    Of course you can't! *WHACK!*

    You're old news, Tony.

I'M IN CHARGE of the Avengers, NOW!

  6. So…for the comic stuff… 2012/06/29

Looking at the API right now. Going to make web comics on tumblr happen, and going to make it EASY.

  7. Comic Display 2012/06/25

Going to start working in the comic viewing stuff pretty soon. Will have to see how well the tumblr API works!

  8. Daredevil vs. Bullseye (part 2)! 2012/06/24

The continuation of the Daredevil vs. Bullseye battle!!! These are action figures from the Marvel Universe Daredevil / Bullseye Comic Pack. I might have had a little too much fun playing with these guys. The articulation is pretty awesome.

Daredevil counters Bullseye and grabs him from behind!

    Bullseye struggles and...

    ...kicks Daredevil in the head!

This is NOT looking good for Daredevil.

This knife is getting too close for comfort!

Come on, Daredevil! You can get out of this!

    YES!

    Bullseye is in trouble now!

    KRACK!

    That's right, Bullseye.

    NEVER underestimate Daredevil.

  9. Daredevil vs. Bullseye (part 1)! 2012/06/24

These two came in a Marvel Universe Comic Pack. Articulation on them is pretty impressive since they both sport the newer ankle joints that can swivel left and right as well as back and forth. This REALLY improves on the types of poses you can achieve. Making them crouch is super easy. Makes for some really dynamic scenes :) So, without further ado, Daredevil vs. Bullseye!

    The initial meeting...

Don't trust him, Daredevil! He's hiding something behind his back!

Oh no! Daredevil is down! Is this the end?

Bullseye is stalling and talking too much.

Daredevil is going to regain his strength like this!

Time for action while Bullseye is still distracted!

    KAPOW! Right in the temple!

    Going down for the count!

Daredevil chokes Bullseye with his boot!

    Time to make Bullseye suffer!

Bullseye squirms, but he's not going anywhere!

    Bullseye plans his counter attack...

    Continued in Part 2!

  10. Marvel Universe Magneto 2012/06/24

This a pretty cool Marvel Universe Magneto figure that we picked up. Articulation is decent, and the paint job is pretty good. He has some strange shading on his face, but other than that he’s pretty neat. You’ll also notice that he has no pupils. Not sure why, but at least it makes him look menacing! He also comes with a display stand. I really wish all of the figures from the Marvel Universe line had display stands, since I have  a lot of issues with my figures tipping over on the desk :)

Close up front of the package.

Another pic of the front of the package!

Another pic of the back of the package.

    Master of Magnetism!

    MENACING MAGNETO.

    "Mutants will rule the world!"

I think I like Magneto's newer costume more than the old one.

    Magneto tossing Wolverine around!

    Wolverine charging Magneto

    "I'm gonna get you, Bub!"

    Magneto!

  11. The Maxx 2012/06/11

This is one of the favorites of the action figure collection. The Maxx is a really interesting character created by Sam Keith in the early ’90s. The comics had unique artwork, and some of the best coloring at the time (using computers! wow!). This figure was given by an awesome friend at work, and he still can’t be thanked enough for that! The Maxx sits on the desk surrounded by other favorites like Mirai Suenaga, just waiting for a chance to run around and do battle. So, without further ado, tons of pictures of The Maxx action figure…vs Wolverine :)

  12. A vs. X : It’s Coming 2012/06/10

So we picked up the new TPB A vs. X : It’s Coming, and we thought we would share some photos of it. Typical super glossy pages, and comes in at 176 pages. We got it for $20.00 which isn’t too bad (although it is a lot cheaper on amazon). This is basically a compilation of comics leading up to the events in A vs. X, so if you’ve read the House of M stuff, you’ll probably be a little familiar with what’s going on.
